Venture Cadets are performing to "Life Is A Highway" by the Rascal Flatts.  This song was made popular again by it's appearance in the animated film Cars.  We have 15 girls in this program ranging in age from 9-13 years.

 

Ventures "A" will perform to Blood, Sweat & Tears' Spinning Wheel, a classic song from 1970.  It has many variations within the piece and an opportunity for the members to showcase some sassiness on the floor.

 

The Ventures Open Guard  show is themed around "time'.  This show will feature various quotes and phrases about time overlaid on or between musical selections.  The guard will open and close with a short rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" to signify the passing of time.  Second piece is the gorgeous "Time In A Bottle" by Jim Croce.  The next phase of the show works with the phrase, "Time marches on" and will use a short piece from the movie Babel.  From there we move into a fun piece the audience will love, "The Time Warp" from Rocky Horror Picture Show.  To build intensity as we near the end of the show the guard will showcase Peter Gabriel's "Rhythm Of The Heat".  There is something for everyone in this show.
